Malala an activist, an author, and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. From a very young age, Malala has fought multiple battles one bigger than the other.
Born in Pakistan she said goodbye to her classmates when she was just 11 years old not even knowing she would see them again. When the Taliban took control over her town in Swat Valley her life changed drastically. A lot of things were banned among which one rule that came forward was ‘girls could no longer go to school’
That’s when Malala’s journey began; she spoke publicly on behalf of her friends and school mates which made her their target. In October 2012 on her way from school, a masked gunman boarded her school bus and asked ‘who is Malala?’ and shot her on the left side of her head.
She later opened her eyes and recovered in Birmingham. After months of recovery, she shifted with her family to the United Kingdom. But that didn’t deter her even far away from the danger she continued to fight for the right to education for all the girls back home. And that’s when she started Malala’s Fund.
There is no doubt that Malala is a leader. She took a stand and moved forward with the ambition to make education a right for everyone and not just her.
