We all are well aware about the climate change and the negative impacts that it has caused to the mother earth. Covid-19 is well known deadly disease, but the negative impacts that this climatic change can cause to our fellow human beings can be worse than the disease. And this is a well-known fact about climatic change, that’s why various ideas like the 3’R (reduce, reuse, recycle), no more carbon footprints, go green etc were brought into consideration. And our Greta Thunberg, 18 year old activist took initiative and is still leading people towards a better future.

“You are failing us. But the young people are starting to understand your betrayal. The eyes of all future generations are upon you. And if you choose to fail us, I say: We will never forgive you.”

Greta Thunberg, 18-year-old climate activist

She was just 8 years old when she came to know about the climate change and in that young age she understood about the aftermath and was worried “why would no one care about it and do something”? And then she stopped worrying about why wouldn’t things change and she became the change.

At the beginning she convinced her parents to stop eating meat as well as her mother who was a well-known opera singer to stop flying. And she started this unique way of strike to drive attention form the government , which was school strike.

She then took her activism public in 2018 slowly but steadily she started skipping school to protest in front of Swedish parliament. And by seeing her students from various part got inspired and supported her vision through strikes.

“You have stolen my dreams and my childhood with your empty words,” Thunberg said at the, United Nations General Assembly

She then won noble prize for her clear vision and determined work. She even wrote books and published them. This determined and devoted young champ is truly an inspiration.
